Street name will honor Kingsbridge's Pichardo (News and Features Section)
After winning the approval of the City Council and Board 8, a portion of Terrace View Avenue, between Adrian Avenue and Teunissen Place, will be officially renamed Michael Pichardo Way on June 20. It was once the location of the now-defunct Marble Hill Neighborhood Improvement Corporation, where Mr. Pichardo served as executive director. After his death on June 8, 2001, neighbors launched a drive to get the street renamed in his honor.
