When there were no calls, we cruised through Kingsbridge Heights. Officer Diaz kept his eyes on the road and Officer Ramirez kept his trained on suspicious activity. Construction of a new 4-story, 56,000 square foot office space is underway at the corner of Jerome Avenue and 177th St. The project is expected to be completed by Spring 2009. Andre "Pop" Davidson, 18, collapsed while playing a pick-up basketball game Saturday afternoon, and was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital. The cause of death remains unclear. The passing of Davidson -- a renowned playground basketball player in Highbridge who averaged 8 points and 8 rebounds per game as a starter for John F. Kennedy High School this past season -- has brought grief to his neighborhood, friends, and family.
