    The 12-story Beaux Arts-style building at 169 Columbia Heights was constructed as a hotel in 1903, with 128 apartments. As reported in the Eagle last year, it was owned by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society from 1988 (leased by Watchtower since 1981) until 2007 when it was sold to Taurus Investment Holdings. Taurus has since invested $10 million in a complete renovation program.
