    As a Councilmember for our district for 24 years, Stanley allocated over $50 million in capital funding for our parks, fought tirelessly for his constituents and was a dear friend to many. After he was term-limited out of office, he continued to promote our community and its parks and was instrumental in the formation of the nonprofit Fort Tryon Park Trust, which has raised an endowment of close to $3 million for Fort Tryon Park.
