  • Myrtle and Marcy Surprise Closing on Myrtle

    The BP Amoco station on the corner of Myrtle and Marcy abruptly closed yesterday. I pass this corner frequently (it’s directly across the street from the Myrtle-Willoughby G train station). I always thought that the station was here to stay. This station was always busy–I can’t think of a time when I didn’t see someone washing or vacuuming their car, filling up their tank, or buying lotto tickets there (even at 3 a.m. in the morning). Children often used the air pump to fill their bike tires.
