(AP) - They don't need no million-dollar views of New York City's Central Park.
Elderly tenants have won a court order to block their landlord from replacing the walls of their Manhattan apartments with floor-to-ceiling windows that would have given them sweeping views of the city's most famous park.
The four rent-stabilized residents sued the building's owner over the plans to install the windows. They argued that the renovations would force them out and affect their health.
Resident Donald Stone says that if he wanted to see Central Park, he'd "take a walk."
An attorney for the landlord says the windows were designed to turn the tower into a "premium building."
The judge says windows are purely cosmetic and not a "necessary repair."
