Welterweight prizefighter Edgar Santana was arrested in the East Harlem home he shared with his parents. He was one of 12 suspected gang members accused of a plot to mail drugs from Santana's native Puerto Rico. He was brought out of the George Washington Carver housing project on East 102nd Street yesterday, handcuffed and wearing a T-shirt designed by his friend, neighborhood graffiti artist James De La Vega.

Two years ago, a coyote named Hal was spotted wandering through Central Park, and swarms of park rangers — trailed by reporters on foot and in helicopters — gave chase over fences, under bridges and across skating rinks before a sharpshooter with a tranquilizer gun ended Hal’s escapade and delivered him to a rehab center.
