  • Stapleton Former Staten Islander pleads guilty to 2 counts of sexual conduct against a child

    Edwin Nieves, 45 -- a former Stapleton man who authorities say forced his two young victims, a girl and a boy, to perform numerous sexual acts on him from the ages of 8 and 10 years old -- will be sentenced to 16 and a half years in prison, followed by 20 more years of post-release supervision, as part of a plea deal with prosecutors. He'll also be listed on the state's sex offender registry.
