Running Path in East Village

Can anyone recommend a good running route in East Village? I am right in the middle of the east village, and am looking for an easy 3 - 4 mile route. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

  • Run over to the East River. There's a running/biking path along the water. Great running in the morning.

  • EveryBlock Sarah EveryBlock Community Coordinator

I love that route too, Radford! I usually go across the 6th street bridge to the water, then run down to the Seaport and back. But, I have to admit, I walk a bit of it ;)

  • For a harder run from East Village, run down to the Williamsburg Bridge, then run across it and back. Bridge runs are awesome.

Does a quiet block even exist in the East Village?

A reader is looking to move apartments later this year, and is starting to do some research for an ideal block. Despite being in a so-called Resolution Zone, the Community Board continues to OK liquor licenses, and the block the resident lives on has "disintegrated into a chaotic nightly mess."
