  • Crown Heights Immigrant shot to death outside Brooklyn home

    The victim, identified by relatives as Mustafa Oumaria, was shot four times outside his Albany Ave. apartment in Crown Heights about 10 p.m., witnesses said. He died en route to the hospital, cops said. The lone gunman fled.

    A 15-year-old boy has been shot to death in Brooklyn and two other teens have been wounded. The gunfire erupted shortly after 2 a.m. yesterday in back of a building on Boyland Street in the Brownsville section.

    A Brooklyn graduation party ended in horror yesterday when two gunmen crashed the soirée and killed a 15-year-old boy, police sources said. Dondi Williams was shot dead after gunplay erupted in the courtyard of an apartment building at 866 Thomas S. Boyland St. in Brownsville at around 2 a.m., cops said.

    Judges have threatened a work slowdown to protest their salaries, which have been frozen for the last decade. Frustration among legislators regarding their own pay has boiled over to the point of prompting one lawmaker, Eric Adams, a Democrat who represents Park Slope and Crown Heights, Brooklyn, to bellow "Show me the money" on the Senate floor. But the governor's office is one place in Albany where complaints about salary are rarely audible.

  • Crown Heights Led Astray by Diabolical Subway Notices

    Cryptic notes like these and the added hours of commuting is why I bought a Scooter and stopped renewing my Metrocard. Spending 2 am through 4:30 am trying to get from the West Village to Crown Heights just wasn’t worth it anymore, especially when one could never figure out where one was supposed to go.
