14th street keeps getting more suburbanized with the opening of IHOP a few months back alongside the KFC, Subway and Dunkin' Donuts on the block between Second and Third Ave.
7-Eleven is rumored to be opening soon next door to the IHOP. And we all know a Starbucks is coming to the East Village on 1st Avenue, with much resistance since The Bean was closed.
